Essex Olympian Football League
Senior Division One
Canning Town 0 v Epping 0
Epping
made the trip to East London last Thursday night for their opening match away
at Canning Town. With several players making their competitive debut it was
expected that the side would take time to gel and it was to be the case with
the home side having the better of the early exchanges. However, Epping
slowly started to come into the game and Leon Rolle and Ash Conlan had a
couple of good chances. Epping keeper Alan Moore was the busier of the two
keepers but he dealt comfortably with what was thrown at him by the Canning
Town forwards. Epping continued to play a patient game and try and catch
Canning Town on the break and Conlan had another good chance which he failed
to convert. Overall a draw was probably a fair result and this was a good
point away from home for Epping
Team:
Moore, Bulled, Saunders (capt), Fish, Costello, Taaffe, Rolle, Albone
(Ford), Brinkman (Doig), Ellis, Conlan.
Subs: Ford, Doig, Callaghan
