Epping 4 Chase 2 aet
Despite being warned Epping were two down within ten minutes after a couple of
sloppy mistakes led to two well taken goals from the visitors. After that Epping
were always chasing the game and once again managed to score just before the end
of the first half through Chris Bailey. This changed the half time talk but did
not deflect the criticism of the first ten minutes. Far too many times this
season the side have made the job harder for themselves by not listening.
Epping should have wrapped the match up in the second half but a mixture of good
goalkeeping and missed chances meant the game went into extra time as only a
goal from James Kelly was added to the Epping tally. Epping dominated the extra
period and goals from Andrew Mavin and the once again impressive Danny Turpin
wrapped up the victory.
Tony Whiteway was superb in the midfield and was complimented by the speedy
Beaumont in the second half.
