MATCH REPORT
10 March 2007
Essex Olympian Football League
Reserve Division One
Epping Reserves 2 v Shenfield
Reserves 2
A very disappointing game against a team we should have buried by the 20th
minute. The forwards shooting boots were left in the car otherwise we could
have had five. We did have two by half time both scored by Danny Turpin and
should have held on. We did not and it was down to poor defending by the team
and as a unit. The side found it difficult to play on a boggy pitch against a
side that from the sidelines seemed to have energy but not a lot of skill. One
thing they proved in the second half was where there is a desire there is a
way. They pulled themselves back into the game at two two and whilst I was
disappointed they were rightly ecstatic. The less said the better though in a
poor performance Ollie Seymour looked like his old self.
Team: Christou, Harper, Seymour, Scriven, Webster, Whiteway, Mavin, Kelly,
Bailey, Turpin, Beaumont.
Subs: Dainton, Geraghty, Grey.
